The simplest of all - The battery fountain

My $10 indoor fountain

I bought this fully operational battery fountain for just $9.98 (plus 2 AA batteries). All I had to do is take it from the box, fit the batteries, add some water and switch it on. Hey presto! My really cool table top fountain was adding to the ambiance of my study. And you can be sure that it will be adorning the dining room table at our next dinner party!

Other designs in battery operated fountains include Zen Chimes, 10 inch high cascades, orchids, frogs and cherubs... Most of these can be purchased for less than $40.

There are many other table top fountains that are not battery operated but it might not be practical to have an electrical lead meandering through the dinner plates :-)

Battery fountains are always small because the limited power means they can't pump water to any great height. This adds to their appeal. Less space taken and readily movable even filled with water.

Another type of battery operated fountains is the combined solar water fountain with a storage battery energised by the sun during the day and supplying power to your fountain's pump by night.
