Garden Ponds Waterfall

The best way to introduce water to your pond is through a garden ponds waterfall or cascade. (Many fountains also adopt a mini-waterfall approach although by definition a fountain incorporates a form of man-made scupture. Good examples are seen in wall fountains ). An informal setting will frequently emulate a natural waterfall, often cascading over boulders. Just going back a few years such waterfalls used real boulders and normally required a landscaper or other professionals to install. But this is the 21st century! Now we can readily obtain preformed (synthetic) boulders/ waterfalls/ ponds that look identical to the real thing. Lightweight, natural looking, strong, frost and all weather resistance fiberglass water features are best.

A Garden Ponds Waterfall adds Oxygen

A garden ponds waterfall is a common way to add oxygen to pond water. As water cascades over the waterfall it picks up oxygen and this fresh oxygen gets circulated through the garden pond system. Pond fountains also achieve the same effect so these can be used in conjunction with the waterfall or as an alternative - see pond fountains for more information.
